One-to-one part-time assistant
IST is searching for a one-to-one assistant as support to one of our middle-year students, primarily in the area of behavior management.
The position requires adaptability, patience, and a very good knowledge of English and Italian, with French being desirable. Previous experiences in similar roles with middle school-aged children and some knowledge of Maths and/or science would also be preferable.

• Provide pastoral support to the student;
• Support the provision for the student in relation to social, emotional, and behavioral development,
• Challenge and motivate students, promoting and reinforcing self-esteem;
• Provide 1:1 support for students experiencing emotional/behavioral crises;
• Support the student when not working effectively within usual classroom routines;
• Support the student to make appropriate choices about their learning and behaviour.

High School Mathematics Teacher
IST is seeking a substitute High School Mathematics Teacher to join our teaching staff.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mathematics, effective classroom management skills, and a commitment to fostering student success in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach mathematics courses to high school students
- Develop engaging and innovative lesson plans that align with the IB curricula standards
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote interdisciplinary learning and continuous improvement
- Participate in school activities, events, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- Valid teaching certification
- Previous IB experience is preferable
- Experience in teaching mathematics at the secondary level in an international environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction and cater to diverse learning needs
- Passion for student development and success
